Recommended Donut: Kome-Dough Kuromitsu Kinako
As a Platinum Member, I—hiikun—would like to recommend the following donuts to everyone:

This is Kome-Dough Kuromitsu*1 Kinako*2. *1black sugar syrup *2roasted soybean flour
This is currently the only rice flour donut available at Krispy Kreme.
It was released as a limited-time product in 2023.
Due to its popularity, it has become a regular item in our lineup starting in 2024.
The dough has chewy texture.
It’s covered in kinako-flavored icing.
On top of that, it’s coated with black sugar syrup and kinako powder.
Every time I go to a Krispy Kreme Donuts store,
I order it about as often as I order the Original Glazed.

I, hiikun, would like to share the recommended ways to enjoy,
my thoughts and personal experiences with this product.
Recommended Ways to Enjoy
The official website recommends eating it warm.
The store clerks recommend it, too.
It’s delicious even when warmed.
Personally, I think it tastes better when eaten as is, without heating it up.
Since the kinako dissolves when heated,
if you want to fully enjoy this product while preserving the authentic flavor and texture of kinako,
I recommend eating this without heating it.
Unlike their signature product “Original Glazed”,
it is known for its chewy texture.
The Kuromitsu black sugar syrup really brings out the flavor of the rice flour dough.
Since this is the Japanese-style donut,
it pairs perfectly with all kinds of tea.
Warm ryokucha green tea and hojicha roasted green tea,
Cold barley tea,
Lemon tea and milk tea
And so on.
However, it also goes well with coffee.
I, hiikun, often enjoy it with a café latte.
