I, hiikun, enjoy my favorite dishes at my favorite restaurants.
I do not usually eat out to save money.
Exceptions are made, however, immediately after payday and on birthdays.
In my last issue, I reported on my meal at Steak no Asakuma Nishi-Umeda Herbis Plaza.
My first meal at Steak no Asakusa, which I had been interested in for some time, was very satisfying.
The Gakusei (student) hamburger steak and Asakuma hamburger steak that I had at that time were so delicious.
I remember being extremely impressed.

So this month,
I visited Steak no Asakuma Nishi-Umeda Herbis Plaza again.
I would like to introduce some of the dishes I had at that time.

Steak no Asakuma Nishi-Umeda Herbis Plaza

Same as last time,
I visited Steak no Asakuma Nishi-Umeda Herbis Plaza.
*For an overview of Steak no Asakuma and the last time I had this dish,

The 20th of every month is my payday.
The next day, Tuesday, April 21, I entered the restaurant around 4:30 pm.
It was also a weekday at 4pm.
The restaurant was very empty.
After all, the aim is to,
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
After I got the numbered ticket issued,
I were shown to our seats immediately without waiting.
In the restaurant, except me hiikun,
there were only two female guests.
Each came to the store alone.

Even after I, hiikun, entered the restaurant,
several people came to the restaurant.
But except for one pair,
all of them came alone.
I felt that way on my last visit as well,
many customers seem to come to Asakuma alone.
The restaurant is clean and has a very relaxing atmosphere,
Women can also enjoy their meals alone in peace.
Everyone enjoyed the meal in their own way.
Now it is time to eat.
Let’s take a look at the items I had this time.
Food I ate at Steak no Asakuma

Same as last time,
I ordered the full set (¥880 (¥968 including tax)), which included a drink bar and salad bar.
In this amount,
beverages, salad, curry rice, garlic rice, various desserts, etc are included.

The corn soup here is excellent.
When visiting not only Asakuma
but also other family restaurant chains,
I always order corn soup.

I ate lots of salads.
I never neglect vegetable intake.

Here is the food I did not eat last time.
Chikuzen-ni (Chicken and Root Vegetables Simmered in Soy Sauce) .
It is surprising that chikuzen-ni is served at a steak restaurant.
The seasoning is not too strong.
The natural flavors of the vegetables are brought out.
The level is so high that it could be served in a long-established ryotei restaurant.

And here is the today’s main dish.
Garlic cut steak.
I got the hamburger steaks last time.
So, this time I decided to try the steak.

The aroma of meat and garlic
and the sizzling sound coming from the griddle
whet the appetite.

I pour the sauce over the entire meat and eat it boldly.
The grill is just the right amount of medium.
*As for these garlic cut steaks and Japanese cut steaks,
only medium is available for grilling. No other choice is available.

It is served after being slightly warmed by a round iron mass (pellet) at high temperature.
The meat is extremely tender and goes well with the sauce and garlic.

it’s great when you eat the steak with the garlic rice♪

I also got a large fried shrimp.
A few days before my visit here, I downloaded the Asakuma app.
I registered as a member.
At that time, free fried shrimp coupons were distributed.
I decided to give it a try.

The fried shrimp is larger than expected.
The outside is crisp,
Inside is a plump texture of shrimp,
Combined with the tartar sauce, it was very tasty.

“Gochisousamadeshita. Thank you for dinner. ” I would say…
I had a little extra rice.

I use this rice for one thing.

Mapo tofu (spicy tofu with minced meat),
In fact, Asakuma’s salad bar also offers mapo tofu.
Using this mapo tofu,

I made a bowl of rice with mapo tofu.
Like chikuzen-ni,
Asakuma’s mapo tofu is also very high quality.
The spiciness is just right.
It would not be surprising if it were served in high-end Chinese restaurants.
It tastes good enough at room temperature.
Had it been offered in a hot earthenware pot simmering away,
it would have tasted even better.

Here are four desserts to finish the meal.
Let’s look at them in order.

Coffee jelly.

Grape jelly.

Pudding.

Warabimochi*. *jelly-like Japanese sweet/dessert, which is made from bracken starch and has a soft, chewy texture.
Among the desserts I had this time,
the warabimochi was the best.
It is not surprising that they are sold in stores specializing in Japanese confectionery.
Even though my stomach was full from the main dish,
I was able to eat it without difficulty.
Warabimochi,
Chikuzen-ni,
Mapo tofu,
The curry and rice I got on my last visit,
All of Steak Asakuma’s salad bar menu items are extremely tasty.
I know it sounds like a word,
I feel that they have reached a level where they could be sold in their respective specialty stores.
And you can enjoy it at an affordable price.
I understand well why Steak no Asakuma is so popular among people.

Again, I was very satisfied.

After dinner, there was still some time left.
So I headed to a certain place.

GOKAN PARLOIR

Run by the famous confectionery store ” Gokan ” in Kitahama, Osaka.
I visited the cafe GOKAN PARLOIR.
In “Umekita” on the north side of JR Osaka Station,
it is located on the 2nd floor of the south wing of the commercial facility ” Grand Green Osaka “.
I had only one objective.
Mixed Juice.
I previously posted the article on mixed juices.
In writing the article, I visited several stores.
One of the candidates for the restaurant to visit included,
is this store.
I was interested.
The project was abandoned for various reasons.
But this time I had some time,
I decided to visit.

Here is the mixed juice (¥880/tax included).

This dish is made by mixing four kinds of fruits – bananas, mandarin oranges, pineapples, and yellow peaches – with Hokkaido milk.
This mixed juice,
It’s insanely delicious.
I was impressed.
The original flavors of the fruit ingredients are well brought out.
It is characterized by a refreshing taste that allows you to enjoy the natural sweetness of the fruit.
Because I was already full,
I did not had any cakes or other sweets.
But looking at the menu and showcase, everything looks delicious.
I would like to try sweets in the future if I have the chance.

Thus,
once a month for a luxurious meal out ended.
I am very satisfied!
The view of the Umeda Sky Building seen from near the entrance.
It was great.
I was healed by such wonderful scenery as I made my way home.

I have shown you a selection of dishes I had at Steak no Asakusa,
and the mixed juice I drank at GOKAN PAROIR.

In the same calm atmosphere as before,
I was able to have delicious food.
Also, the mixed juice I got at GOKAN PAROIR was excellent.
