As I said in the previously posted article,
“【Traveling in Osaka】Have a comfortable stay at a convenient and reasonably priced hotel recommended by locals! “,
this time
I would like to introduce you a restaurant where I dined when I stayed at Hotel Sobiial Osaka Dome-mae.
I will also talk about a bar that I originally wanted to visit.
Both hotels are located close to the hotel.
Both are well-stocked and reasonably priced.
This article is intended for the following people
・Those who stay at Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae
・Those who have trouble deciding which restaurant or bar to go to.
The Taisho Station area is lined with numerous restaurants y bars,
Many of you may be wondering where to go.
I hope this article will help you choose the right restaurant.
Also, in the previously posted article,
“【Recommended by locals】Three recommended gourmet restaurants around Taisho Station! ”
I introduce three places to eat at.
I hope you enjoy reading this article while also reading that one.
Thank you again for your cooperation.
Around Taisho Station
I have already introduced the Taisho Station area in my previous posting.
However, for those who visit my blog for the first time, here is a brief but informative look at the surrounding area.
Those who already know about the station area from reading previous articles
may proceed to the next item.
Many stores line the streets around the station.
There are so many to choose from that it is hard to know where to go.
If you are in doubt, why not visit the two restaurants introduced here?
Let’s take a look.
Nagomi Chuka Take
The first restaurant I would like to introduce to you is the chinese restaurant, “Nagomi Chuka, Take”. ”Nagomi” means feeling of calmness and relaxation.
It is a little far from the station, but you can walk there without any problem.
It is often overlooked because it is located a bit far from the dense concentration of restaurants around the station.
As I, hiikun, love the food at “Nagomi Chuka Take”,
I decided to feature this restaurant to let our readers know about its existence.
It is a very small restaurant
with only three tables and a counter that can seat up to four people.
It is a small restaurant, but has a wide variety of items.
Noodles, stir-fries, fried foods, dim sum, soups, set menus, etc.
Also, depending on the dish, not only regular size but also half size is available,
This restaurant is also recommended for those who want to try a variety of dishes in small portions.
This time, let me show you the food I had when I stayed at Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae
and the dishes had on a later visit.
Before introducing the food, we will tell you how to get there from Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae.
Directions from Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae to “Nagomi Chuka Take”
Now let’s head for “Nagomi Chuka Take” from Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae.
After you leave the hotel, you will see a wine bar and a soba noodle shop in front of you.
When you exit the hotel, turn right.
There are quite a few restaurants on this street alone.
There is also a building with several restaurants and bars.
Yakitori grilled chicken, seafood, Indian/Nepalese cuisine, okonomiyaki, kushikatsu deep-fried skewered meat seafoods and vegetables, obanzai meaning a traditional style of Japanese cuisine native to Kyoto, etc.
There are a certain number of people who come to this area and turn back thinking there is nothing to see.
But don’t turn back, keep going.
And then…
You can still find many restaurants and bars.
This is the Okinawan restaurant “Ichariba”.
It is a very famous Okinawan restaurant in the Taisho Station area.
Sometimes there are lines of people waiting in line.
There is also an Okinawan products store attached to the restaurant, where visitors can purchase Okinawan foodstuffs.
Also on the right are a hamburger shop, another Okinawan restaurant, and a ramen shop,
There is also a new yakiniku restaurant on the left.
To get to “Nagomi Chuka Take,” go straight down this street.
Yes, we have arrived.
It is about a 5-minute walk.
Now it is time to introduce the two dishes I had.
Set menu called “Nagomi Teishoku”
This is the food I had when we stayed in front of the Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae on March 21.
Set meal “Nagomi Teishoku” (¥1,800).
Let’s see what’s in it.
Sweet and sour pork.
Battered and deep-fried pork is stewed with vegetables in a sweet-and-sour sauce.
The meat is juicy and filling.
In some Chinese restaurants, the meat of the sweet-and-sour pork may be only fatty,
It can be disappointing.
However, this is not the case with this sweet-and-sour pork.
Happosai.
This dish is stewed in a broth seasoned with chicken stock, soy sauce, salt and oyster sauce,
stir-frying vegetables, seafood and meat in oil.
It is also delicious eaten as is.
It is also delicious over rice.
There are three pieces of fried chicken and two prawn tempuras.
I, hiikun, who loves fried food, am very happy.
It is ¥1,800 with rice, soup and salad.
You can consume meat, vegetables, seafood, and carbohydrates at the same time,
The balance is very good.
The quantity is perfect.
I was actually planning to go to the bar I will introduce later.
In fact, I fell ill from late February to mid-March.
While I had no fever, I had a severe cough and suffered from a sore throat and chest.
As of the day of the stay, my health was improving.
However, because of the medication I was taking, I refrained from alcohol until early April.
Therefore, I decided to give up drinking and focus more on eating.
As a result, I chose the set meal “Nagomi Teishoku” at Take.
I really wanted to have my favorite dish with alcohol.
I was disappointed that this did not happen.
Still, the food was delicious and I was very satisfied.
hot pot dish with white soup
I said in the previous section that I had the set meal “Nagomi Teishoku” when I visited the chinese restaurant “Nagomi Chuka Take” on March 21.
In fact, one dish caught my eye as I was browsing the menu.
I was very curious and decided to try it out when I visited again later.
Here is the dish.
It is the hot pot dish with slow-cooked chicken broth called “paitan” in Japanese.
It is a dish in which the flavor of the chicken can be felt well.
Despite its appearance, it is light and very tasty.
It may be difficult to tell from the photo, but this earthenware pot has a surprisingly deep bottom.
This amount of meat, seafood, vegetables, vermicelli, and many other ingredients is enough for one person.
The price is ¥1,130.
By paying ¥150 separately,
you can also have zosui (rice porridge) or ramen noodles with the leftover soup.
First, the first meal.
I had pig’s feet, tofu and some vegetables.
The pig’s feet are very tender and can be eaten down to the bone.
To tell the truth, I don’t really like pig’s feet.
However, these pig’s feet were delicious.
It had no odor offensive and was a perfect match for the white paitan broth.
Moving on to the second meal.
I had a chicken dumpling and a shrimp in addition to vegetables, tofu, and harusame which is called rice vermicelli or glass noodles in English.
This is the third and final meal.
I had leftover vegetables, tofu and vermicelli.
The ingredient I liked most after eating three bowls was harusame rice vermicelli.
The vermicelli containing a large amount of white soup containing the flavor of chicken makes me want to sip it all the time!
The taste is addictive.
Finally, I had ramen noodles with the extra broth.
The white paitan broth is combined with the flavor of vegetables, meat, fish and shellfish used in the hot pot ingredients.
The salty taste reduced slightly and the sweetness increased.
It is a dish suitable for the end of the meal.
I feel happy because it has a half-boiled egg in it.
Needless to say, it tastes better when mixed with white paitan soup and noodles.
I forgot to mention one thing.
We also got ikaten squid tempura (half, ¥520).
The set meal, the hot pot dish with slow-cooked chicken broth, and the squid tempura were all delicious.
This restaurant has a wide variety of meals.
In addition to the white hot pot dish I ate, there is also a “tomato soup hot pot dish”.
I am very curious about it and would like to try it next time I visit.
Next, I would like to introduce a restaurant that I really wanted to visit on the day of my stay.
Okinawan Cuisine Omoro
Next, we would like to introduce you to this izakaya bar.
Okinawan cuisine “Omoro”.
There are several Okinawan restaurants in the Taisho Station area, though.
Omoro is one of the most famous of these restaurants.
In a restaurant filled with Okinawan atmosphere,
you can enjoy various Okinawan local dishes.
There is a wide variety of alcoholic beverages such as beer and awamori*. *strong Okinawan liquor distilled from rice and millet
According to the information on the official website of Omoro,
they also have a wide variety of soft drinks such as seekuwasa citrus juice and samping tea.
Therefore, even those who do not like alcoholic beverages can enjoy their meals with ease in this bar.
By the way, smoking is prohibited inside the bar.
Please note that smoking is not allowed.
Directions to “Omoro” from Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae
Let’s go to “Omoro” from Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae.
It’s super easy.
You can see the “Omoro” sign from in front of Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae.
It takes only 30 seconds to go there from the hotel.
That is all.
Let’s take a look at the dishes I, hiikun, had.
Grilled Agu pork with salt
The first dish I ordered was the “Agu no Shioyaki (Salt Grilled Agu pork) (¥1,630).
Agu is a “Ryukyu native pig” indigenous to Okinawa and one of the most representative agricultural product brands in Okinawa.
Pork is often used in Okinawa’s local cuisine.
As soon as I opened the menu, this meal caught my eyes.
Because I wanted to eat a pork dish, I chose this meal
It is prominently displayed on the menu.
It was a little expensive, but I was curious so I ordered it.
I forgot one thing.
The beer of Okinawa is Orion.
We also had a medium draft Orion beer (¥610).
It is an indispensable drink for Okinawan cuisine.
As I mentioned in the previous section, when I was staying at Hotel Sobial Osaka Dome-mae at the time,
I took medication. So I refrained from drinking alcohol.
But now that I am feeling better, I am happy to drink as much beer as I want.
Well, here comes my meal.
Agu pork grilled with salt.
Let’s eat.
Let me be frank.
It is insanely delicious.
I was impressed!
It has just the right amount of salt that I, hiikun, prefer.
I can firmly taste the meat.
This is probably because they use high-quality agu pork meat.
It is not at all cloying and has a moderate sweetness.
It would be better if it were cheaper and in larger quantities.
However, it is very much worth eating,
I recommend this item to all readers.
3 kinds of Tempura
The next dish I had was three kinds of tempura.
Let’s look at them in order.
Okinawa’s seaweed mozuku.
Tempura of mozuku seaweed (¥220) is a must.
The outside is crispy and the inside is fluffy.
This is a empura (¥250) of seaweed call asa.
Asa is a green seaweed that grows on rocks in the shallows of Okinawa.
It is classified as a member of the family Hymenopteraceae.
It has a seaweed nori-like flavor. Similar to mozuku seaweed tempura,
the outside is crispy and the inside is fluffy.
Mozuku tempura and asa tempura are recommended to eat with salt.
And alongside mozuku and asa,
bitter melon call goya is an essential ingredient in Okinawan cuisine.
The item I ordered this time was the goya kakiage (fried bitter gourd) (¥160).
Thinly sliced bitter gourd, carrots, luncheon meat, etc. are mixed in a batter and deep-fried.
The bitterness of the bitter melon, the sweetness of the carrots, and the saltiness of the luncheon meat.
They fit together just right.
The crispy texture is fantastic.
We recommend that this dish be served with Worcestershire sauce.
These three types of tempura are absolutely delicious.
They were all delicious and I felt satisfied with them
Please give it a try.
Thank you for the meal
Soki soba (take-out)
After eating grilled Agu pork with salt and three kinds of tempura, I had Soki Soba to finish off the meal.
However, I did not eat it at the restaurant and took it home.
You can take some products home at Omoro.
Soki soba is one of them.
Here is what it looks like inside.
It contains noodles, soup, red ginger, green onions, pork on the bone (soki), and kamaboko fish cake.
In other words, all the essential ingredients for Soki Soba are available.
Cooking instructions are also attached.
This is great for those who are not good cooks.
Let’s cook it right away.
Now, it is finished.
It lookes delicious.
It is also vibrant in appearance.
I also added Chinese cabbage and carrots that I had in the refrigerator.
Well, let`s eat.
The soup is delicious.
From the taste and smell, I believe the dashi broth is made from fish or meat.
It has a light and gentle taste.
The noodles are also delicious.
Along with the noodles, this is the star of this meal.
Bone-in pork (Soki).
Look at the size!
This size is more than I can imagine.
It is juicy and tender.
And let’s not forget the red ginger.
The sourness and texture of the red ginger adds an accent to the soba,
It is a more delicious and enjoyable way to eat.
I ate all.
Thank you for the meal
summary
This time, I introduced to you the dishes I had at “Chinese restaurant, Nagomi Chuka Take” and “Okinawan Restaurant, Omoro”.
